Advanced Art Seniors competed in this year’s Mural Day at Hastings college. The theme this year was “Design your hometown postcard”. Teams do not know what they will be painting until arriving at the competition when the team is announced. Students included imagery they believe is representative of Ord and its history including Evelyn Sharp’s airplane, the Ord hedge along the highway, and an early version of the American flag in honor of when the town was founded as well as our famous flag at Auble’s pond. Over 200 students from 38 schools participated in this year’s event.
