The Ord Chanticleer Boys Basketball team traveled to Ravenna to take on the Blue Jays to close the regular season last Friday. The Chants were able to take a 10-6 lead after the first quarter. In the 2nd quarter, the Chants really took off and were able to get a 29-14 lead at the half. “We played pretty well defensively in the 1st half and that was really the difference tonight for us.” Coach Gates said after the game. The Chants were able to grow their lead to 20 after the 3rd quarter and then were able to secure a 56-45 victory. The Chants were led by Will Grint with 16 points Johnny DeRiso add eleven points and nine rebounds. Blake Wells had nine points to go with Talan Bruha’s nine rebounds in the victory. The Chants will start district play on Monday by taking on Broken Bow.
