Addi Blaha Ties School Record in the Pole Vault
The Ord High School track and field teams competed in the 64th annual O’Neill track and field meet on Thursday April 17. It was another record setting day for the Chants as Addi Blaha tied the school record in the pole vault with a jump of 10’ 0”. Blaha ties the record set by Morgan Alexander in 2016. In addition to the school record, both the girls and boys won the team title in their respective team races. “We had another very good day with our track teams”, Coach Derry Trampe said. “Not only did we win both team titles, but we also had 24 new personal best marks established at this meet. What’s impressive about the personal best marks is that they are being set by our upperclassmen as well as our freshmen. It is great to see the improvement in our kids every time they compete. If we continue to push each other in practice, I look for us to have a very good season before we are done this year.”
The girls won the meet with 101 points which was 21 points ahead of runner-up Elkhorn Valley (80). Norfolk Catholic was a close third with 78 points.
