The Ord High School track and field teams competed in the Annual Mansfield Invitational in Albion on Tuesday, April 1. No team scores were kept in the meet, but the Chanticleers brought home several medals. “This is a great meet for our kids to compete in every year”, Coach Derry Trampe said. “We can enter as many kids as we want in an event so it gives us the opportunity to find out how everyone will compete in a meet so we can make varsity decisions later in the year. I was very pleased with the efforts of all our kids, and we had a lot of quality performances. I saw a lot of improvement from our first meets of the season to this meet. We have a little time off before we compete again so the kids will have a chance to heal up and work on conditioning for the remainder of the season.”
