The Ord High School track and field teams got the 2025 season started this last weekend at the annual UNK indoor track and field meet. No team scores are kept in the meet, but the Chanticleers had a successful day bringing home several medals from the meet. The girls brought home 14 medals from the meet with one gold medal while the boys earned two gold medals and 11 medals overall. “It was a good start for our teams”, Coach Derry Trampe stated. “We had a lot of solid performances from both our boys and girls and had 5 personal best marks set in the first meet of the year. I was pleased with our performance because we had a few team members that were not available to compete, and we still had a lot of medal winners. We still have room to get better and we will if we continue to work hard in practice.”
