The final basketball home game for the Chant boys finished in blowout fashion Friday night, with Ord winning the game, 67-34 against the Ravenna Blue Jays.  In a game where all Ord seniors got the start, things were wrapped up early, with the Chanticleers ending the first quarter with a 21-3 lead, and every Chant on the bench getting playing time on the night.

Landon Critel led the Chants in scoring off the bench this time, with 14 points, and adding four assists.  Senior Maddox Bennett started the game, scoring five, and posting his first assist of the season.  Jordan Williams and Senior Garret Severance each added 10 points each.

Maybe the most exciting moments in the game came from Elijah Pollard.  Even though he only finished the night with four points, they were memorable points.  The crowd erupted as Pollard slammed home two dunks, one on each side of the court.  These dunks got the crowd going and caused his father to grin ear to ear after the game.  Pollard also added five steals in the game.

Ord shot the ball well on the night, making 47% of their shots, but struggled from the free throw stripe, only hitting 25% of those shots.  Those numbers need to improve as the Chants enter post season play.  Ord (10-13) will come into C1-8 subdistrict play as the four seed and play five seed Broken Bow (8-14) Monday night at 6:00 p.m. in Holdredge.
