Qualify 17 for State; Set 2 School Records
The Ord High School track and field teams hosted the C-8 district track and field meet last Thursday. The 10-team field included some of the top performers in Class C this year. “I was very pleased with the way our kids performed in this meet”, Coach Derry Trampe noted. “There were a lot of quality athletes in this meet and the state qualifying spots were hard to come by. It was nice to see our kids come through and qualify for the state meet. We had 35 personal best marks on the day so it would be safe to say that the peaked at the right time.” Among those personal best marks were two school records. Blake Hinrichs bettered his school record in the triple jump with a leap of 45’ 3” breaking the record of 45’ 1.5” he set earlier this year.
