First Time Since 2013
The Ord High School track and field teams brought home the team titles from the conference meet last Friday in St. Paul. This was the first time since 2013 that the teams did this and only the second time in school history. “It is pretty hard to win one conference title but winning both of them is really special”, Coach Derry Trampe commented. “I was so proud of the way our kids competed on a very windy and cloudy day. We had a lot of personal best performances on the day, and we had some kids step up for the team to help win these meets. It is a testament to how hard these kids work every day and their commitment to their teammates and school. I could not be prouder of our kids and the way they performed.” The Chanticleer girls won the team title 92.5 points to hold off Central City (81) for the title. Doniphan-Trumbull finished third with 67 points. Rounding out the team scoring were: Arcadia-Loup City (63), Centura (62), St. Paul (55.5), Wood River (51), Ravenna (35), and Gibbon (20).
