The Chanticleer boys closed out the regular season by facing the Ravenna Bluejays. The 1st quarter was entertaining with the Bluejays taking a 20-16 lead after the 1st quarter. “They shot well in the first half and that carried over for them in the 2nd half.” Coach Gates said after the game. In the 2nd quarter, the Bluejays would keep the hot shooting going and take a 32-20 lead at the half. The Chants would get no closer than 10 and fall to the Ravenna by a score of 65-42. The Chants were led by Blake Hinrichs with 15 points and Garret Severance added 14. The game was the last home game for Jaden Sanders and Owen Lane. “We appreciate the time and effort those two have put in and really appreciate how they have played and helped our basketball team this season.” Coach Gates said. The Chants will open Sub-Districts with St. Paul on Tuesday at Centura then play Centura or Broken Bow with a win.
